The Forum hosts national GB wide conferences every two years to highlight best practice and present future challenges for timber transport.
The most recent conference was in March 2016 at Battleby Conference Centre near Perth.
The presentations from previous conferences are available for download.
In addition the Forum and timber transport groups host, support and contribute to regional seminars, events and workshops.
The annual seminars of the Forestry Engineering Group regularly cover road and bridge construction and use, vehicle innovations and the management of timber transport. The Scottish Rail Freight Conference also covers developments in the rail freight of timber.
The long running Roadex project held several conferences on the construction and use of low-volume roads and the Roadex website hosts presentations, publications and training material.
