The Grampian Timber Transport Group covers Aberdeenshire and Moray local authority areas.  It was formed in 1996 and meets every 3 - 4 months.

The objectives of the Group are to:

  • Update timber traffic surveys at approximately three year intervals
  • Review and revise agreed routes maps for timber haulage as required
  • Provide a forum for discussion between timber growers, processors, hauliers and local authorities
  • Work in partnership to avoid or resolve any timber transport problems that may arise in the area.
